I would not describe nz as a happening place in general. Rather quiet and peaceful, just the way I like it. She's been there and will be going back again somewhere between end of May and early June. She loves it there simply because Lord of the Rings was filmed there!! She's a great fan. My aunt and her family just returned from their holidays there and they're full of praise for NZ. They drove and covered both the north and the south islands. Call it whatever we want, shoe box apartments or pigeon holes, the air is still crisp and fresh there and I just love those golden kiwi fruits mmmm.....slurp! But my sister just loves NZ.
