Lasik surgery has becoming more popular nowadays. As a person who has worn glasses for the past 15 years, I have certainly thought of the option numerous times but always stopped when thought of the possibilities of Lasik Complications. It has been mentioned but not widely discussed. That is until I found out about SomplicatedEyes.org, a sister website created by The council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance to help shed some light on the topic. There, I found out that Lasik Complications are rare, and fewer than 3% of Lasik and similar eye surgery patients have an unresolved complication six months after surgery, with less than 0.5% (1/2 of 1 percent) serious long-term problems. The plain language information also easy to understand, without excess technical terms. I have certainly gained some insights on the topic and might just give Lasik a go in the future.
