Men and their flexible brain cells

Author: cc  |  Category: titbits

I was chatting with Kok yesterday, and he was saying he wasn’t sure on the brand of shampoo he uses, which reminds me of a conversation between me and Mr K some time ago.

It was a weekend, Mr K and I were talking about getting a new mac pro. So off he went, going on and on about the amazing specs of the great machine in fine detail. During which I was nodding my head but automatically shutting down my brain and drifting somewhere else.

Mr K *Blah….blah… blah something about ram…..blah*
CC *waiting for the right time to interrupt*
Mr K Blah….but you should know they also added this new feature….blah….
CC *thinking* lalala…..good machine, I get it.
Mr K *went on for another half an hour* blah…..so you see it’s a totally great buy.
CC *whew. finally*OK, get it then. Now, can you please go get this lip balm for me? I really need it urgently. The brand is XXX brand, XXX range. *very short name*
Mr K Huh? What is it? Aiyo, my brain don’t have space for that info, can you please write it down? *continue to blah on geek language*
CC *dumbfounded and scribbled down the whole 5 characters of the said product*

While I’m on the subject, here’s a funny and creative insight into how different men and women perceive the same occasion. (Read the Girl’s Diary first)

A female's perceptive A male's perceptive

Perfect example of how different men and women are. I’m sure many of you have similar experiences. Let’s share it! ;)

A cool storage for tools

Author: cc  |  Category: needful things, ppp

Like most men, Mr K takes pride in our garage. I could imagine his joy when he visited carguygarage.com, a website that sells a huge range of garage products. He was immediately fixated on the stainless steel tool box category and has been ranting on about how cool such boxes are. They come in various styles and we both like the stainless steel 4 drawer garage roller cabinet. It has easy mobility and the drawers are a perfect way of classifying tools according to usage. Now, Mr K has no excuse to leave his tools lying around.

Invoice Factoring For Immediate Cash Flow

Author: cc  |  Category: ppp

Mr K and I run a home-based business and we know how important it is to always have a healthy cash flow. Sometimes, it takes time to get paid when an invoice has been issued and this could affect business. With Invoice Factoring, accounts receivable invoices are purchased at a small discount for immediate cash flow. A good place to outsource accounts receivables collection is AIM Business Capital. Their website is very user-friendly and has all the information you need about invoice factoring. It tells you about businesses having immediate access of up to 95% of the face value of invoices. Funds are usually available within 24 hours after submission and verification of such invoices. With AIM, you can now have the cash flow you need when you need it. Now that is what I call good business sense.

Tag marathon - 8 random facts and habits

Author: cc  |  Category: tags, titbits

I’m owing an ocean of tags, so will try and do a tag marathon and clear them all this few days. Sorry for taking so long ya!

Here’s one, tagged by KC ages ago.

8 random facts and habits.

  1. I love to tidy up and decorate my home. A tidy and well-organised house gives a sense of order I need to keep me sane.
  2. I was bitten by a dog when I was 11. The incident left a small faint scar on my upper thigh.
  3. I love horror, triller, crime genres in movies, tv series and books. Anything dark, including dark comedies. My favourite of all time is Six Feet Under. It’s the only series that truly touches my heart and in my opinion, showcased the best moments on TV.
  4. Six Feet Under

  5. I have an ultra-active mind, and although I’m sharing and warm in nature, I don’t share all my thoughts with others and doesn’t show my sorrow easily.
  6. I don’t enjoy clubbing that much. I enjoy staying at home more when I’m free.
  7. I can get pretty paranoid about things.
  8. I love eggs with all my passion. (ever since I was a baby according to my mum.)
  9. I hate it when people eat potato chips in cinema, or make any noises for that matter. I feel an uncontrollably urge to strangle those who do. I think they should be heavily punished and banned from the cinema, forever.

OK, I know I’m supposed to tag 8 people, but I’m pretty sure most people have done this one, so I’m not going to tag anyone this time. ;)

Number plate with a sense of humour!

Author: cc  |  Category: truely kiwi

*NOT a sponsored post, heh*

Saw this funny car plate frame on the back of the car that was parked in front of us in the parking lot the other day. Very smart and cool gift for mum with a sense of humour! Heh. These frames are pretty hip right now and are available in gift or novelty shops, you can even personalise one. Cost about NZ$20++.

Funny number plate frame

Other than those, in New Zealand, you can also get personalised number plate for your car, any way you like. Letters, alphabets, a mixture, as long as they are within 6 characters. So you can see some interesting and funny personalised plates around. But with only 6 letters/alphabets, it’s a matter of creativity to come up with the combination you want. Of course, the cool ones like ‘beetle’ on a WV beetle, or ‘Elvis’ were taken up fast, so some people went around and came up with creative ways to the same effect, like’ FLYAWY’, ‘NFM0US’, ‘BSHARP’. There are also plates with creative combinations of numbers and alphabets, like ‘1 DOG 1′, ‘SW1FT’. Of course, good things come with a price tag, from NZ$400+. Interested? Now, tell me what cool combinations can you come up with?!

Linky love

Author: cc  |  Category: tags

The ever-so-funny wuching kor-kor added me to this new link love taggie. Aiyoh, very honored! Tankill veli much! Here’s my add to continue the link love. ;)

1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.

2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.

3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the ‘Originals’ list.

4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW is using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the ‘My Adds’ section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!

Decorative baby showers

Author: cc  |  Category: ppp

One of the new cultures I experienced after living in NZ for a few years is baby shower. It is a celebration party for the expected mother, normally threw by close friends and family. Typically a small gathering with people bringing fun gifts and food. I’ve attended a few baby showers over the years and it’s always fun to see the decorations being put up!

As you know, I love decorating, in any kinds. Baby showers are very fun to plan, but it can be hard to look for supplies on the deco, especially when you want to have fun with baby shower themes. That’s where PartyPail comes in extremely handy. They supply various kits on baby shower themes. Like this cute theme, Red Wagon Baby Shower. he welcome kit consists everything you basically need for a fun baby shower. Like invitations, snack plates, confetti and more! Their services are definitely useful for anyone who are planning for a fun baby shower!
