For generations to come, today’s going to be remembered as the day. A great day for all Chinese around the world. The Olympic has finally arrived in China. I’ve been looking forward for this day to come. The show is starting as this post is published. My heart pounds with excitement. China, the mother land of Chinese around the world. May you shine your dazzling rays and show the world the greatest game ever!

I took a minute to savour the moment. For I probably won’t be around the next time it comes around. I wonder what would the world be then. In a hundred years time, would my descendant find the day special?

Update: Just finished watching the opening ceremony. What a stunning display of pageantry! There’s simply no words to describe the amazing scene, I’m blown away.

I love the opening ceremony too, especially journey of the torch, and the highlight of the night was China’s ex gymnastic gold medalist Li Ning hanging on wires and running on the air as if he was making a round in the stadium, and lighting the flame cauldron. Amazing..

Too bad i miss out the initial part of the opening ceremony.

CC: It was surely an incredible touch by having Li Ning doing the air walk! What a way to light the torch! :) You can look at the beginning here.

This is unrelated to Olympics. :p

I’ve always like pictures you took, so if you don’t mind me asking, which camera are you using? I’m looking to buy a new one, hence the question.

    (And I pray it’s a point-and-shoot camera, coz that’s all I can handle. Haha.)

CC: Thanks! I’m using Nikon D80, which is a DSLR. If you’re after a point and shoot, I’ve used Sony cybershot series. It produces very good images and has a big preview screen too! My photos before July this year were mostly taken using my good old Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T30. Hope that helps!

  15. Neo Says:

The opening ceremony was really good! I especially like the fireworks display!

CC: It was spectacular!! The fireworks were just out of this world! What better place to showcase it than the country that invented it eh! :)

Although a Malaysian Chinese, I’m so proud or China. The opening ceremony was fantastic! I liked the lighting of the cauldron where Li Ning “flew” and “walked on air” while the scroll opened - so cool!

CC: The whole thing was just impeccable!

Impressive opening feat by China, especially the part where they had runners ‘running across’ the globe and the ignition of olympic flame where the athlete scaling the wall. Awesome!!! Totally Zhang Yimou, it’s like watching one of his kungfu flicks..
