Light . Winter 2008 . by cc

Let there be light,
to brighten the day; to shine away the darkness;
to chase away the shadows; to lighten up my soul.

Sitting in the middle of the room, darkness surrounding me.
The faint light coming from the lamp looks surprisingly luminous, irradiating my face.
Looking into the light, I feel mesmerized. Something so simple yet so illuminating.
The night suddenly feels so bright.

在黑夜裡尋覓絢麗的光環。期待,火花。

There’s always light at the end of the tunnel. The darkness are the obstacle we need to go through in life before we see the light. You do take very good shots.

CC: Hi eiling, thanks for dropping by! 🙂

Some nice things take place in the dark, some dark places can be pretty romantic…nothing is all bad or for that matter, all good.

CC: It’s true, all good! 😀

Don’t quite look like light to me, more like some strange object in the sky. A light in the middle of darkness – very hopeful and comforting.

    CC: Great imagination! 🙂

    Hi cc!

Very nice poem and a wonderful photo. It reminds me of the song “Just One Little Candle”(not sure if I got the title right) during my elementary days.

    Thanks for sharing!

CC: Thank you! Glad you like it. 🙂

    nice shot.

reminded me of a song by Sandy Lam.

    夜已深 还有什么人 让你这样醒着数伤痕
    为何临睡前会想要留一盏灯…..

dun ask me why? maybe its dark liao, maybe its the light? ;p

CC: Isee you’re a big fan of Sandy Lam. I love this song too! thanks for dropping by. 🙂

Wow u’re really getting very good at conveying thoughts through pics. The light, as if it was just enough to illuminate but not quite enough to cut through the thick impermeable darkness. U really managed to convey that ominous & foreboding sense! (hope i don’t get psychoanalsyed for saying that. lol) Great photo essay nonetheless.

CC: I really appreciate that Daryl. Great encouragement for me! 🙂 Thank you!
