Raindrops of yesteryear
Author: cc | Category: days of my life, photography, thoughts in pictures
Rain falling down in stream, forming a river running deep into my heart;
Di Da Di Da, the melody plays on, of the psychedelic sound of yesteryear.
It’s been raining on and off the whole day, gloomy clouds and blue skies alternate in the space up above. Sitting by the window, the droplets of rain caught my eyes. Every single one of them seemed to be the same yet so different, forming dots that dazzled under the rays of the occasional sunshine.
As I was mesmerized by the psychedelic dots, a song started to loop in my mind. It’s not particularly special, yet seemed so fitting on such a day. The melody brought me back to those innocent years of youth, when everything was much simpler and free of worries. For a minute I lost track of time and space, I seemed to be back in those days, feeling the droplets of rain falling on me once more, round and round I twirled in the rain like I used to, into that golden year that seemed so faraway.

The pitter patter of raindrops. After the rain, everything is washed anew & the grass look greener, the sky is bluer & the sun comes out again with a bright rainbow. Have also wondered why raindrops were associated with teardrops, does it all wash anew too?
CC: Nicely put!

Rain drops trickle down the window pane. Small and slow at first but gaining momentum and strength and size as travels on and on. It races on, competing with the one on the right and left.
The wind cannot stop it. And it just escapes the obstacles meant to sweep it down. Only to reach the ending line and at once surrounded by the crowd.
Thus the life of the rain drop on the car window!
CC: You’re very observant!

I love this entry. The song, somehow, reminded me of Tassie. And all of a sudden, I felt a sense of melancholy. Those days I used to walk back to my apartment from the uni after it had just rained. Ahh, yes, “when everything was much simpler and free of worries”.
CC: Well, those were the days eh!

Even as I post this comment, it is threatening to rain here in KL! Anyway, life was much simpler when we were young. Yet, it better to live “in the now” as the present time is what we have. BTW, I hope you don’t mind that I’ve added you to my blog list. Have a good weekend.
CC: It’s important to live in the moment, but also good to reminisce once in a while. Thanks for adding me! I’ve added you to my hearty blog too!

以前住在的地方有季候风
带来一陀又一陀大雨
印象里那也是停电季节
大风大雨加上停电
听起来恐怖吧?
但,我很享受
CC: 只要感到開心,就算坐在黑暗中也覺幸福!

Oh, I love the rain! People always like sunshine. Me? I love cloudy days and rainy days. Love to watch the rain and hear it pitter patter on my window. Very calming.
Btw, I just sang the Raindrops song at the karaoke recently! : )
CC: I love cloudy and rainy days too, but not at the moment. It’s just been too long since the sun really shines. It’s a great song! Always cheer me up!
